eFestivals is hearing rumours that the slowest ever return to the live circuit for drummer and Peter Gabriel replacement Phil Collins could see him return to the limelight after his retirement in 2002 with festival appearances next year.
The 65 year old 'In the Air Tonight' singer announced he would be making a comeback early this year, but has only performed at a handful of charity events, perhaps taking note of a petition to the United Nations begging them to prevent his return.
This month sees him release a three-CD collection, 'The Singles' and his own memoirs, with his autobiography 'Not Dead Yet' which is likely to be a straight to paperback print as it'll have 'no jacket required'.
The most likely suspects to have the man whose drumming will now forever be outshone by a gorilla (see clip below) are AEG Live's Barclaycard presents British Summer Time happening in London's Hyde Park and the Isle Of Wight Festival.
We will have to see if the rumours are true and there is something coming in the air tonight or whether we'll have to wipe off that grin, and it's all been a pack of lies.
