Swedish overlords, Amon Amarth lead the first acts for Bloodstock Open Air festival which will take place next year from Thursday 10th until Sunday 13th August at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, in South Derbyshire.
They will be Friday night’s headline act, frontman Johan Hegg said, "What's up UK! On August 11th 2017, we are invading Bloodstock ! It's going to be a fucking awesome party, with immense bloodshed and you better be there!"
Before them the special guest slot on the Friday will Blind Guardian as a UK exclusive for 2017, with Testament also set for a Friday slot.
Hatebreed make a return to Catton Park on Saturday. Also landing a spot on the Ronnie James Dio main stage over the weekend are Whitechapel, Possessed, and Hell.
Early bird tickets are priced at £120 for adults with camping (+ booking fees), and car parking is priced at £16, child (aged 4 - 11 years) tickets are priced at £35. Campervan pitches were priced at £60.Day tickets will be available at a later date.
VIP sold out well in advance in 2016. VIP upgrades (for those who’ve already bought an early bird ticket) and the remaining VIP allocation will be available from 16th December, and are expected to sell out even earlier for 2017.
As well as the international heavy metal bands across four stages, Bloodstock offers a large selection of merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, a campsite and a wide selection of food and bars.
