Robin Bextor, On Track For Summer Festival founder and organiser, says, "Put bluntly, these people are true heroes. Theses are people that have dedicated their professional lives and beyond to helping others. Sadly this has all become so much more apparent in recent months, and we here at the festival want to give any of those who are fans of the artists playing a tiny bit back."
This year's On Track For Summer is described as 'a special music festival celebrating 50th anniversary of The Windsor Jazz, Pop, Ballads & Blues Festival of 1967', and has a line-up to suit the spirit of that age, with Hawkwind, Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames, The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Norman Beaker Band, Sonja Kristena performing the hits of Curved Air, The Doors Alive, plus The Psychedelic Orchestra of Great Britain.
The original Windsor Jazz, Pop, Ballads & Blues Festival of 1967 was to be headlined by Pink Floyd, but they pulled out as by this time Syd Barrett was unable to perform on-stage, so the line-up that year featured Donovan, PP Arnold, Crazy World of Arthur Brown, and The Move amongst others. On Track For Summer celebrates some of the biggest bands and music of that era.
Tickets are on sale, priced at £35 - or just £15 for those who qualify for this discount.
