Jason and his brother Colin set up the Comedy Club to bring comedians from the UK circuit to small towns and cities across the country for a night of live comedy, in shows that feature well-known names in both the comedy and television circuit and are all personally chosen by Jason Manford. At Yorfest it will feature a rotating line-up across the afternoon and into the early evening,
Jason Manford said: "The aim of our pop up shows is to put top quality comedians in front of local audiences at a good price, so when I was approached about bringing a Comedy Stage to the Festival, I jumped at it. We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting and innovative festival and this will be the first major festival for Manfords.”
He continued "I have played in York on all my previous UK tours and love it here - it is one of my favourite cities to play and I am really looking forward to sending some of Manford’s comedians along to Yorfest to experience this wonderful part of the country! We have many surprises in store, and the full line up will be revealed next week."
Yorfest will have over 30 live acts and comedy shows, across 4 performance areas, along with the normal festival fayre of food and drink including local real ales, a Champagne and Pimms bar, candy floss, donuts, and more, as well as a kids play zone, face painting, and vintage fairground rides.
