Beverley Folk Festival, which has 3 nights & 2 days of music, dance, comedy, spoken word, events & workshops at Beverley Racecourse, Beverley, East Yorkshire from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th June 2018. has announced more acts for their line-up.
Returning after seven years is 'pilot of the airwaves' Charlie Dore who'll be joined by multi-instrumentalist Julian Littman (Steeleye Span), and her performance will include new songs, original acoustic versions of Charlie's hits written for others as well as her own.
Also returning are Alterego, with the four-piece concert/ceilidh band delivering both ceilidhs and concerts at the festival, so there's more than once opportunity to catch them. Also newly added are songwriter Jess Morgan, and East Yorkshire's Katie Spencer who will be joined by Foss Paterson (John Martyn, Jethro Tull) for a main stage performance.
Artistic Programmer, Kelly Foley said "We are delighted to welcome these exciting new additions to the already impressive line up for 2018. Last year, we saw over 80 artists perform throughout the weekend, as part of our creative programme of not just music, but also dance, literature and poetry. Next year, we will be aiming for the same number, if not more and we are off to a great start! Our latest ticket deal will help banish the autumn blues and give you something to look forward to in the summer, when we will join together to celebrate Beverley Folk Festival's 35th anniversary."
These new acts join the others previously announced who are Calan, Greg Russell & Ciaran Algar, Megson, Habadekuk (Denmark), The Lucy Ward Band, and Grace Petrie. There's many more to be announced, expect around 80 acts in total.
Reduced-price 'Autumn Gold' tickets are now available (til 30th Nov), priced at £110 with camping or £90 without camping (saving £30 on the ticket price).
