New Model Army have been announced as the Saturday headliner for the 7th Willowman Festival which takes place at Hillside Rural Activities Park, Knayton, in North Yorkshire, over the summer solstice weekend of Thursday 14th and Sunday 17th June 2018
Also playing on the main stage across the weekend will be:- Dub Pistols, Adele Harley, Little Roy, Cattle & Cane, REWS, Mafia and Fluxy, Bessie and the Zinc Buckets, The Majestic, My Baby, and The Radio Set.
Performing on other stages, including the Willow Wobbly Stage, Acoustic Stage, and Dance Stage, are:-Angelic Upstarts, Groove Train, Captain Hotknives, Corella, Hayley McKay, Nerina Pallot, Nick Harper, and Barry Hyde (The Futureheads).
Festival director Steve Williams talked about this year's event:
“Year on year this festival has grown and Willowman is now firmly established on the festival calendar.
“We have welcomed people from across the country and Europe and it’s great to see so many people returning each year.
“All visitors are guaranteed a warm Yorkshire welcome as well as a good dose of fun, friendliness and above all, great music. We have also been very lucky with the weather in previous years too – what’s not to like!
“Ticket sales are going strong again this year, with a range of options available, and we are hoping that this year is going to be the biggest and best yet.”
As well as music, the festival will also feature, arts & crafts, a healing area, comedy tent, vintage market, real ale tent, and kids entertainment including a bouncy castle, face painting, and a funfair.
Early bird tickets are now on sale, priced as follows:
Adult Weekend (no camping) - £59
Adult camping (add to weekend) - £20
Young person's weekend (11-16) - £50
Child's weekend (under 11) - £5
Adult Saturday/Sunday inc. camping - £70
Young person's Sat/Sun inc. camping - £40
Family weekend (2 adults, 2 yp) - £260
Weekend parking - £10
Campervan - from £30 to £45 depending on size.
Kids under 16 must be accompanied by at least one adult (18+).
