The 8th annual family friendly Lechlade Festival that takes place on the banks of the Thames at Riverside Park in Lechlade, in Gloucestershire over three days from Friday 25th until Sunday 27th May 2018 have announced their headliners, and more.
The headline acts of Scouting For Girls, From The Jam, Doctor and the Medics, will be joined by tribute bands Whole Lotta Led, and Flash - A Tribute to Queen.
There's a supporting cast over the weekend that includes some of the 1000 bands that applied to play this year, with applications from bands and performers in Europe, America, and even Africa. One of last year's successful applications was from The Roscoes Wild Child, who are returning for a second year. "If you love Hendrix, you'll love this awesome duo", says festival founder Jennie Rainsford, "Last year they flew in from LA, hired a car, drove to Lechlade, played on the main stage and returned home!" We're thrilled that Lechlade draws international attention and attracts such high-quality acts."
Also confirmed so far are Magician's Nephew, Emma Stevens, BIGG, St. Lawrence School Choir, Little Brother Eli, Frankenstein's Lobster, Feral Ghost, The Inflatables, Stagecoach Faringdon, Jen Stevens, Will Heggadon, North Wilts Rock Choir, Plucking Different, Hell's Gazelles, The Strays, The Ollie West Band, Twister, Jennings Couch, Magic Bus, Billie Alderman, Katy Hurt, The Covasettes, Other Animals, Samira Riachy, Wednesdays Wolves, Calton Kelly, Ashley Sherlock, Miracle Glass Company, Makings, Alphabet Backwards, Harry Pane, The Swanvesta Social Club, Saint Apache, The Wicked Jackals, Shamona, T@TT Band, Grafton Ash, Lewis Fieldhouse, Flora Greysteel, The Casual Ties, Gus White, Halfpenny Pass, Hush Mozey, Kaleido Bay, and Centrefolds.
"There will be several additions to this year's event" says Jennie, "we've expanded the activities for children and we're looking at a bigger and better Comedy Stage. The bars have been expanded and revamped and there's a few other surprises up our sleeves." The Missy Malone and Friends Burlesque Revue also returns this year., to the bar stage on Saturday night, with a mixture of comedy, cabaret and burlesque, the two-hour show attracts an audience of all ages.
Tickets are currently priced at £69.95 for 3 days with camping or £49.95 without camping. Live in vehicle pass is priced at £25.
