Deer Shed Festival 2018, which takes place at Baldersby Park near Topcliffe, North Yorkshire from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd July has announced it's biggest ever comedy and theatre line-up.
For comedy over the weekend there's James Acaster, Daliso Chaponda, Justin Moorhouse, Kiri Pritchard-Mclean, Rachel Parris, Spencer Jones (pictured above), Abandoman, Bec Hill, Brendon Burns, Paul Currie, Harriet Dyer, Abigoliah Schamaun, Sarah Bennetto, Katie Mulgrew, Elf Lyons, Tom Taylor, Tony Basnett, Birthday Girls, and Story Tellers' Club. They don't need to be famous - although some are - they just need to make you laugh.
For theatre and shows, there's a witty spin on spoken word from Harry & Chris, the alter egos of Big Howard & Little Howard, physical comedy from The Kagools, a live mystery-mockumentary called 'Great British Mysteries?', exploreg the deep in the dystopian future of Blue Planet 3, save the world - one bee at a time - with Me & My Bee, a decade of Marvel movies in an hour with The Just Us League, juggling with Rod Laver, quirky comedy from Sam Fletcher, innovative juggling, physical comedy, and almost-philosophy from Robin Dale, Welsh theatre and dance collective Kitsch & Sync, bingo incorporating fantastic disco dancing with Carboot Disco Bingo, Leeds-based theatre company Manic Chord, live party band Hyde Park Brass, walkabout theatre with Pif-Paf Theatre, dance walkabout from Levantes Dance Theatre, new sport from the Sock Wrestling Federation, put your maritime skills to the test with Same Difference Arts, and Spike and Sponge will present the Early Morning Rave.
Deer Shed Festival creative director, Megan Evans, said: "This year's music line-up certainly stirred up a lot of excitement but often, when you talk to Deer Shedders, its the huge variety of performances, activities and workshops on offer over the weekend for the whole family that keep them coming back year on year. For that reason, we're delighted with securing such a strong mix of artists across every aspect of the Deer Shed 9 programme."
Deer Shed has a line-up of music that includes includes headliners Drenge, Goldfrapp, and Field Music, as well as: Public Service Broadcasting, Jane Weaver, Nadine Shah, Bill Ryder-Jones, HMLTD, Gaz Coombes, Blaenavon, This is the Kit, Mush, The Orielles, Dream Wife, Lowly, Holy Moly & The Crackers, Warm Digits, Scott Matthews and many more. Adult (16+) weekend: £135
Child (11-15) weekend: £50
Child (6-10) weekend: £50
Child (3-5) weekend: £20
Child (2 and under) weekend: free (but needs ticket)
Sunday night camping: £50 per tent
Campervan: £50
Campervan awning or tent: £15 extra
