17 more acts plus WWE NXT UK have been announced for next year's Download Festival, which takes place at Donington Park, Derbyshire over the weekend of Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June 2019., to join the headliners of Def Leppard, Slipknot, and Tool, and more.
For the music there's 'supergroup' Simple Creatures with a UK festival exclusive who will headline the Avalanche Stage on the Saturday, along with Dinosaur Pile Up, The Wonder Years, Allusinlove, Queen Zee, Cloud, Goodbye June, Graveyard, Hot Milk, Kim Jennett, Kvelertak, Lost Society, Nova Twins, Roam, The Hu, The Picturebooks, and Vambo.
Previously announced acts include headliners Def Leppard, Slipknot, and Tool, along with others including Smashing Pumpkin, Slayer, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Dream Theater, Lamb of God, Eagles Of Death Metal, Whitesnake, Rob Zombie, Trivium, Amon Amarth, Carcass, Delain, Die Antwoord, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Opeth, and more, with more to be announced. Also joining the entertainment are full-scale ring-bouts from NXT UK stars including WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne, NXT UK Women's Champion Toni Storm, and Tyler Bate, which will be taped and aired as part of the weekly NXT UK show on the WWE Network. There's also Trent Seven, Walter, Rhea Ripley, Jordan Devlin, NXT UK Tag Team Champions The Grizzled Young Veterans, Travis Banks, with more to be announced. NXT has made a massive impact at the festival in previous years, performing to capacity crowds throughout the weekend, featuring impressive debuts, shocking returns and exciting moments. This is the ultimate win for wrestling fans!
