Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th July 2020Ribble Valley, Sawley, Gisburn, Lancashire, BB7 4LF, England MAP

The first wave of acts have been revealed for the 15th edition of the Beat-Herder Festival, the independent festival of beats and baaminess that's a celebration of electronic, dance, D&B, hip hop, reggae and more, with DJs and live acts plus comedians, and which is held in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire from Thursday 16th until Sunday 19th July 2020.
In a rather unusual move, the festival is holding back "a huge and exclusive Friday night headliner" which they claim "is set to stun crowds" and is a "mammoth booking", with "the big secret" to be revealed as they step onto the main stage. Interesting!
Closing the Saturday will be Wilkinson (DJ set) ft MC Ad-Apt, preceded by Mura Masa, with others that day including reggae selector David Rodigan, and a 25th anniversary performance of the iconic Smokers Delight project in its entirety from Nightmares On Wax, backed by live strings. Sunday is topped by iconic reggae collective, The Wailers, with others on the main stage across the weekend including Confidence Man, Gaudi, Youngr, and more.
Across the many other stages acts include Snapped Ankles, Beardyman, Everyone You Know, Bou ft. Haribo, Prospa, Seb Fontaine, KiNK, Heidi, Mr Scruff, Adelphi Music Factory, Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, TSHA, Mollie Collins, Kings Of The Rollers, DJ Zinc, Utah Saints, Massive Attack's Daddy G, Doghouse Derelicts, and much more. For all of the details please see the line-up page.
Festival director Nick Chambers says, "Beat-Herder, is a party for the people put on by people who like to party and this year is no exception. We are buzzing over this years line up, there is something for everyone from Beat-Herder virgin to veteran, but as everyone knows, Beat-Herder is not just about the line up. With new venues, new installations, new surprises, we are hell bent on maintaining the trademark 'off the scale party atmosphere'. Simply, we can't wait for Beat-Herder. Join us in 2020 for more beats, barminess and wacky surprises."
