Acoustic Gathering 2011

Acoustic Gathering is a free acoustic festival held in Peasholm Park, Scarborough (North Yorkshire) on Sunday 11th September 2011, returning for its sixth year.

The event runs from midday to 10.30pm. Over 32 acts will feature on the bill which will see some returning old favourites as well as showcasing a nationwide wealth of talented singer songwriters performing in front of as many as 2000 music lovers.

Line-up

80s legends Red Box will headline the event, with Edwina Hayes, Jesse Hutchinson & Ishka also confirmed plus a full supporting cast of locally sourced talent. Full line up to be confirmed shortly. The 5 minute turnaround between each act will be filled by a UNISON sponsored breakthrough artist.

The acoustic acts will be performing from the bandstand on the lake under the towering gaze of the gloriously rebuilt pagoda.

On site

All facilities are on site including catering, bar, toilets, festival stalls, kids entertainment area, & as the dusk falls, projections will illuminate the stage, lake and island waterfall. The Community Market will return for a 2nd year & will still be located on the putting green, it will be a colourful space with family entertainment and activities. The Market will also have several information stalls hosted by many different community groups with details of what they do and how festival goers can get involved. The market will be running from 11.30am until 6pm, although food stalls will run into the night.

There will be plenty of room for families, lots of space to relax and disabled access.
