ArtsFest is an annual free festival which takes place from Friday 11th until Sunday 13th September and is billed as Birmingham's biggest and most vibrant cultural festival.

ArtsFest celebrates the astounding wealth of creative talent existing in the West Midlands and promotes the region as the bustling cultural centre it is – full of high quality, innovative, cutting edge arts and entertainment activities. ArtsFest is a festival for the young and old alike.

There is no programme of events announced yet for this year's festival.

The theme for ArtsFest 2009 is Anniversaries and Celebrations and the festival will recognise major anniversaries taking place this year such as:
The bicentenary of the death of Matthew Boulton.
The bicentenary of the birth of William Penny Brookes.
The bicentenary of the birth of Charles Darwin.
The 50th anniversary of the Mini.
The 50th anniversary of Motown.
The 50th anniversary of Barbie.
