Ashleyhay Festival 2009

Ashleyhay Festival is held at Sycamore Farm in the surroundings of Ashleyhay, (5 mins walk from Alport Heights), near Matlock in Derbyshire and happens from Saturday 2nd until Monday 4th May 2009.

Acts confirmed include Slide 1, Elfynn, Smiling Ivy, The Old Dance School, Reefus Moons, Eskimo Fires, James Warner Prophecies, David Gibb, Killing Jupiter, Serotonin, Lo-Fi Lung, Days Of Descent, Tomorrows Ancesster, May KB, Fossil Fuel, The Durge, Fraid Knot, Alvin Purple, Shot Shot Stacey, Project 2, Alsatian Brothers, and The Wood Pigeons.

Tickets were priced at £10 for the weekend, or £5 for a day ticket. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (18+). Tickets have now sold out.

There is a main stage, acoustic stage, a licensed bar, a kids tent, stalls, on site car parking, camping, and family camping.

On site car parking is limited and will be available to those who arrive earliest. More parking is available close by, and stewards will direct you, but please respect the local community and don't park on the verges, or near gateways. Camper van, or caravan dwellers are welcome to stay in the car park (if there is space!), but not amongst the other tents. The nearest railway station is Ambergate, easy to get to from Derby or Birmingham.

Ashleyhay is run entirely by volunteers. All the musicians perform for nothing. All the helpers do it for free. All proceeds go to charities like: Greenpeace, ROKPA, Aquabox, Mamelodi Trust, and Oxfam.
