Bristol Community Festival 2001
Saturday 14th to Sunday 15th July 2001Hengrove Park, Bristol, England
£3 (children free), car park £5
Although better known as the Ashton Court Festival, it's not at Ashton Court this year, due to the foot and mouth crisis. The new location is Hengrove Park, in South Bristol.
The Stereo MC's are to headline the Main Stage on Sunday. No other artist info available as yet, but the festival will include 3 main stages with local and national acts including a Club Stage with dance related music. There will also be the Big Top which showcases local jazz performers, non-trad jazz, soul, funk and trip-hop. Then there's the Root Marquee, with blues, Irish folk and World music.
Alongside the music will be The Classical Marquee; The Performing Arts Marquee and The Arts Marquee which include all forms of entertainment from art to short films, sculpture, dance, theatre and cabaret. A great deal to entertain any taste. There is also fun for all the family with a popular 'kids area' including bouncy castles, playground, face painting, workshops and a show.
If this isn't enough for you there is always the market of 160 stalls to wander around and spend the cash you saved on the ticket price!
