Started in 2007 Balaton Sound Festival is one of Europe's largest open air electronic music festivals held on a Hungarian beach, Zamárdi, along the shore of Lake Balaton usually starting on the second Thursday of July.
It features live acts and DJ's from all around the world, from established artists to new names, and is run by the organizers of Sziget Festival. This year's event runs from Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th July 2017.
Line-up
The first acts confirmed are Kygo, Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Kshmr, Afrojack, Galantic, Geazy, Jason Derulo, Krewella, Marshmello, Nicky Romero, Robin Schulz, Showtek, Blasterjaxx, Dubfire, Erick Morillo, Head Hunterz, Jamie Jones, John Digweed, Netsky Live, R3hab, Sasha, Sigma, The Bloody Beetroots, Timmy, Zed's Dead.
Tickets
Early bird tickets are priced at 195 euros for five days, 165 for 4 days, and 56 euros for a day ticket.
Camping information
Camping is right at the festival venue and priced at 17 euros. Camping registrations are not sold on the basis of days or tents, anyone who buys them can use the campsite up to four days.
The are are also a huge number of privately rented houses and hotels of all categories in the close neighbourhood.
Seaside lounges, restaurants, bars and anything you need to enjoy the Balaton sunset, at Zamárdi, a small town on the southern shores of lake Balaton which is turned into a massive party arena. The festival's venue is a picturesque beach resort at the biggest lake of Central Europe, also regarded as a touristic center of the region.
