The Banbury Canalside Folk Festival takes place from Friday 7th until Sunday 9th October 2011 at various venues around the town of Banbury in Oxfordshire with 2 main concert venues, and a major dance venue including the Mill Arts Centre, the Town Hall, the General Foods Social Club and the Canalside itself.

Expected also ceilidhs at the Town Hall, a craft and trade fair during the day on Saturday (admission free), local bands showcase concerts, acoustic concerts, folk clubs, folk theatre, Morris dancing (outside of The Mill and around town), workshops, story telling, song and music sessions and singing boat trips on the canal.

Tickets

Ticket are priced at £50 for the weekend, or £18 for Friday, £36 for Saturday all day/evening, and £18 for Sunday £18. To buy tickets, click here.

Camping

Camping is priced at around £5 per night (purchasable when tickets go on sale). It is expected that Hanwell Fields School will be used for indoor camping again this year. Camping for Campervans and Caravans will be at Drayton Leisure Golf Centre nearby. Because the capacity for caravans and campervans is limited, priority will be given to Season Ticket holders on those sites. Indoor camping and campers wanting to use tents are unaffected.

Pets

Dogs and other animals are not allowed at the main venues, or at the Campsites.

Accommodation

There is plenty of Hotel and Bed & Breakfast accommodation in the locality.

Parking

For those who commute to the festival there is plenty of car parking available at Banbury Railway Station car park only a couple of minutes away from the main venues. The station's own parking charges apply.
