Beach Break Live 2013

The seventh annual student festival for 20,000 people in mid June to celebrate the end of exams and the start of summer. Dates are from Thursday 20th to Monday 24th June 2013.

This year the festival moves to take over Newquay and Fistral Bay, in Cornwall, abandoning a single site set up for a complete urban style .

Tickets

Starting from £79 and up to £119 including 4 nights accommodation, either caravan or camping, and you don't have to be a student to buy them. A full pass is priced at £40 for access to every venue and all entertainment across Newquay and Fistral Bay which does not include accommodation, and it's £20 for a day ticket.

The festival takes over the Cornish town utilising more than 30 venues along the coast from cafes to local clubs, beaches, pubs, hidden rooftop raves, beaches, pool parties, harbour side film festival, street art, circus, comedy, cider n ale festivals, after parties, theatre, boats and more. The local is perfect to enjoy sports including kitesurfing, surfing, wakeboarding and windsurfing with competitions, taster sessions, pro demos, and tuition.

Extreme Sports

This year The Pool Gap returns with the Wakeboarding competition on a two pool set up visible from the Golden Ticket campsite. Watergate Bay hosts the The Student Windsurfing Association show with both a team racing competition and an Expression Session style competition where competitors will be judged on wave riding, jumping and freestyle moves. Kitesurfing returns to Beach Break Live at Watergate Bay this year. Fistral Beach will be a wash with Surfers throughout Beach Break Live as they compete for the title of Surfing Champion.

Accommodation

Existing campsites, hotels, hostels, and self catering apartments are utilised for the festival period.
