Bearded School
The Children's Village is extensive. In addition to a large and well-equipped family camping zone, a ‘rogues hideout’ for teens, a full baby care tent and a huge variety of coordinated ‘Village Green’ style activities (all staff CRB-approved), Bearded Theory is the only festival in the UK to offer a completely free, fully OFSTED-approved on-site school, allowing children ages 5-16 to be eligible for authorised absence.
Bearded Theory pioneered the idea of offering school education for children attending in term time. The Free Bearded School takes child enrolments with lessons have been planned to reflect the national curriculum. The idea is that parents can prove the day off is educational. The school will be open 9.30 until 3pm. Parents need to complete a form to guarantee your children’s spaces, resource pack and certificate.
More info
Along with the music there's a 'quiet space' campfire area with story reading, discussions and poetry, a (non-animal) circus, and late-night comedy.
More information will be here when available.
