Running every two years since 1993, Beyond the Border takes place in 2014 from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th July at St Donats Castle, Vale of Glamorgan, in South Wales.
The family friendly Wales International Storytelling Festival is one of the leading storytelling festivals in the world. In the grounds of a fairytale castle by the sea, the event also offers music from Wales and the World, with storytellers, epic singers, musicians, circus performers, puppeteers, street theatre artists, films, fire shows and dancing.

Some of the the themes and artists announced so far for 2014 include Northern Lights, Mats Rehnman and the Methera Quarte, Kristiina Ilmonen, Anna-Kaisa Liedes, Timo Väänänen, Nick Hennessey performing The Kalevala, Robin Williamson, Michael Harvey, Guto Dafis, Daniel Morden, Oli Wilson Dickson and Dylan Fowle, Nicole & Martin, Spice Arthur, Peter Stevenson, Megan Lloyd, Hugh Lupton, John Dipper, Simon Heywood, Helen Chadwick, Mark MacQueen, Travellers Tales, Kamishibai Tellers From Japan, Sufi Voices, Stories & Music from Africa & The Caribbean, Magic Lantern Shows, and True Stories.
Tickets
An early bird weekend ticket including free camping is priced at £90, a child (aged 5-16) weekend ticket is priced at £45, and a family weekend ticket is priced at £230. Admission is free for children aged under 5. A campervan ticket is priced at £37. Day tickets will be available at a later date.
