Billingham International Folklore Festival is a festival of Dance, Music, Song, Arts & Crafts, featuring the Traditional Dance & Music Ensembles from all over the world, now in its 47th year.

BIFF runs from Saturday 6th to Saturday 13th August 2011, and offers eight days of displays & concerts, all in colourful national costumes.

Line-up

Radost, Tiquicia, Tanoura and Belly-Dance Medo Group, Georgia National Ensemble - Georgian Folklore', Academia de Proyecciones Folkloricas Jose A. Corella R., Cossack's Ensemble 'Volnaya Steppe', Hajduk Stanko, Lee Eun Joo Dance Company, Alma de Tango Quartet with Argentinean Tango Dancers Jenny Frances & Ricardo Oria, Caliche, Mishaped Pearls, Jugnu Bhangra, Richmond Town Pipes & Drums, and Clackmannanshire Pipe Band. Most of the dance ensembles include live bands who play for the dancers as well as performing items on their own. The Billingham Silver Band plays whilst leading parades and at the closing concert. Scottish pipe bands also appear. Arrangements are still to be finalised.
