THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
The Big Tree Festival has been cancelled.

A statement from The Big Tree Festival says:
"It's with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of the Big Tree Festival. This unfortunate position has been brought about by unexpected poor ticket sales and a continuing poor forecast for the pursuing months. We have worked very hard to try to make the festival happen however given the current circumstances we have no choice other than to cancel.

We would like to thank all the suppliers and contractors, that have also worked very hard to try and put on the festival this year as well as the artists and agents that have supported us for this event; we are very sorry that we are not able to have them play.

We would also like to thank the many followers and fans who have supported us and we are truly very sorry for having to cancel.

This has been a very hard decision for us to make as the project meant a great deal, all involved have put in a massive amount of time and effort on a voluntary basis. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused and hope people will understand and appreciate our difficult position.

Please contact the ticket agency you purchased tickets from to claim refunds.

====================
The Big Tree Festival is a new not-for-profit event aimed at families, and will be a laid back three day event with a real focus on the environment.

The location for the festival's debut has been revealed as Euston Park, in Euston, Suffolk. The dates for The Big Tree Festival 2013 are from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th August.

The latest additions are Dizraeli and the Small Gods, Olivia Sebastianelli, Marc O'Reilly, Stereo MC's, Ruarri Joseph, Kal Lavelle, and Main Stage headliner Athlete, the other headliner The Hoosiers.

They are joined by a diverse line up which includes The Christians, Wild Smiles, Republica, Adam Isaac, The Skints, Lucy Ward, Yes Sir Boss, Will and the People, Eddie and the Hot Rods, The Undercover Hippy, Paper Aeroplanes, Police Dog Hogan, Ewan McLennan, Sam Forrest, Rusty Shackle, Liz Lawrence, The Outcast Band, The BlackWhite, Zombie Met Girl, Changing Horses, Borderline:Fire, Apple Rabbits, Andrew Duhon, Bob Hillary & the Massive Mellow, Andi Fraggs, East Town Pirates, Gerard and the Watchmen, Hot Fiction, Maisie Mae, Freya Roy, The Salt Water Brothers, Lazy Heart Parade, Long Finger Bandits, The Kabeedies, Sunday Driver, Bards of the Heath, Cathedrals & Cars, The Cads, These Ghosts, Violet Bones, Lucy Sampson, Ellie Jamison, Benjamin Bloom, Tiny Dragons, Lisa Redford, Flaming June, Flutatious, The Woodland Creatures, Aartwork, Bemis, Cara Sebastian, The Floe, Johnno Casson, Kevin Pearce, Luke Ferre, and Trouble With Tuesday.

There will also be a wide range of local ales, cider and food on offer, as well as arts and crafts stalls, a communal festival allotment, and even an animatronic polar bear!

Healing Gardens

There will be a number of holistic treatments, therapies and natural workshops available throughout the weekend, as well as wood fired hot tubs and saunas.

The Environment

The festival is keen to support the environment so they are introducing a greener way for everyone to travel to and from the festival. There will be a free coach service travelling from key Suffolk and Norfolk destinations, and the festival will be supporting car sharing schemes, pre-ordered tent services, plus a number of other eco-friendly initiatives. Furthermore, the festival plans to allocate a percentage of ticket sales towards localized tree planting schemes, creating orchards for schools, and a long term aim of creating a community woodland and biodiversity project in Suffolk.

There will also be luxury Bell tent and campervan hire available.

More information will be here when available.
