The 22nd North Wales Bluegrass Festival takes place in Conwy, Wales from Thursday 1st until Sunday 4th July 2010.

Line-up

Hosts Highly Strung head a line-up that includes All Bells & Whistles (Czech Republic), Jeni Hankin & Billy Kemp (U.S.A.), Britannia Band, Brian Golbey, Chill Until Blue, Chris Moreton, Crocker Brothers, Down County Boys, The Morris Boys, New Essex Bluegrass, Peter Akerstrom (Sweden), Shake the Roots, The Molly Hicks (Ireland), Tin Box Mountain Band (Ireland), The Dude Coopers, Tom Hanway (U.S.A.) & Karl Deeter (Ireland), The Dude Coopers, Papa Truck, The Slowdown Boys, The 5 and Dimers, with first time visitors... Gipsy, plus some surprises!

Tickets

Early bird tickets are available until 1 June 2010, an adult weekend ticket is priced at £56 (full price £60) with camping, or £51 (full price £55) without camping. A child (12+) weekend ticket is priced at £26 (full price 330) with camping, or £23 (full price £35) without camping. To download a booking form (in html), click here.

Music times

Friday: 8pm until midnight
Saturday: midday until midnight
Sunday: midday until 5pm, not to mention lots of picking sessions on the camp site!

Campsite

The Festival campsite is flat, level grass surrounded with trees on the ground of Conwy Cricket Club. It has flush toilets. A Bar and Hot Food is available until late. Security patrols throughout the hours of darkness - a nice safe site for all the family. RADAR Toilets for people with disabilities are on site.

Venues

Concert venues include Conwy Civic Hall and the Festival Marquee. Covered areas are provided for picking sessions in two smaller marquees on the Festival site. Performances, Concerts and Dances take place simultaneously in all venues.

Workshops

Workshops for all bluegrass instruments are available, mainly on Saturday morning; but only to weekend ticket holders.

Sessions

Off-site sessions will be held in a venue in Conwy on Thursday evening and on Sunday evening, ask on arrival for the location of the Thursday session.

Conwy is well provided with Car Parks all within a short walk of the festival site.
