The 23rd North Wales Bluegrass Festival takes place in Conwy, Wales from Thursday 30th June until Sunday 3rd July 2011.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are hosts Highly Strung, G-Runs & Roses (Czech Republic), Sara Grey(U.S.A.)and Ben Paley, The Thrifts (France), Dana & Susan Robinson (U.S.A.), Britannia Band, Chris Moreton, The Down County Boys, Tom Hanway (U.S.A.), Biggin Hillbillies, The Morris Boys, Monroe's Revenge, Chill Until Blue, Shake the Roots, and Five and Dimers. There are more to follow still to be confirmed.

Appalachian Dance Teams confirmed are Mind the Step, and Feet First.

Tickets

Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed and are not yet on sale.

Music times

Friday: 8pm until midnight
Saturday: midday until midnight
Sunday: midday until 5pm, not to mention lots of picking sessions on the camp site!

Campsite

The Festival campsite is flat, level grass surrounded with trees on the ground of Conwy Cricket Club. It has flush toilets. A Bar and Hot Food is available until late. Security patrols throughout the hours of darkness - a nice safe site for all the family. RADAR Toilets for people with disabilities are on site.

Venues

Concert venues include Conwy Civic Hall and the Festival Marquee. Covered areas are provided for picking sessions in two smaller marquees on the Festival site. Performances, Concerts and Dances take place simultaneously in all venues.

Workshops

Workshops for all bluegrass instruments are available, mainly on Saturday morning; but only to weekend ticket holders.

Sessions

Off-site sessions will be held in a venue in Conwy on Thursday evening and on Sunday evening, ask on arrival for the location of the Thursday session.

Conwy is well provided with Car Parks all within a short walk of the festival site.
