Set in a beautiful town within stunning Welsh countryside, Brecon Jazz takes place from Friday 6th until Sunday 8th August 2010, offering a mix of Great Brits and legendary Jazz stars from across the African continent to share the joy of Jazz in 50 concerts over 3 days.

Line-up

Acker Bilk, Hugh Masekela, John Crampton, Charlie Musselwhite, and the Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club, are amongst a line-up that includes King Pleasure & The Bisuit Boys, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Dave Stapleton Quintet, Ayanna Witter-Johnson + Fraser Fifield + Robert Mitchel, Hakon Kornstad, Neil Cowley Trio, Rachel Z + Omar Hakim + Maeve Royce, Pee Wee Ellis Funk Ensemble, Get The Blessing, Kairo 4Tet, Jason Yarde + Jason McCormack, Rhythm Connections Community Drum Circle, Scott Hamilton + Rossano Sportiello + Dave Green + Steve Brown, Robert Castelli Boom Quartet, Simon Spillett & Dave Bishop's Tribute to Tubby Hayes, Brass Jaw, Elin Larsson Group, Kit Downes Trio, Phronesis, John Donaldson + Peter King + Quentin Collins Sextet, Jacqui Dankworth, Matt Halsal, Portico Quartet, The Breton Project with Erik Truffaz and Sura Keita, Orchestre National De Jazz, Gwilym Simcock Trio, Nostalgia 77 with Jeb Loy Nichols, Kyle Eastwood, RWCMD/Brecon Jazz Summer School, Erik Tuffaz + Sly Johnson, Matt Halsall, Roland Chadwick + Nik Linnik + Amrit Sond Trio, Bombay Baja, Keith and Julie Tippett, China Moses & Raphael Lemonnier Trio, Olivia Moore, Eric Legnini Trio, String Button Band, Andy Sheppard, Dave Newton, and Magnus Lindgren.

Tickets

Ticket prices have not yet been confirmed, and tickets are not yet on sale.

Expect around 25 concerts over the weekend, which will also feature free family events - Fireworks on Friday, a Jazz Carnival parade on Saturday, and the Jazz Service on Sunday.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
