The event is the third largest fringe event in the world is an annual showcase for theatre, music, dance, performance and books, from both local and international artists.

The wide-ranging programme is put on by over 3,000 people, artists, artistic groups and community organisations, and offers hundreds of free events for around 180,000 attendees.
