More info

Chagstock is a well set up, very family friendly festival, suitable for young and not so young alike, with no focus on any particular music genre, and offering a blend of music to suit a wide range of tastes. Alongside the music, there's a decent selection of food and drink, and lots other entertainment around the site to keep the kids occupied.

Theme

This year's theme is Spies & Dolls. Fancy dress is encouraged!

Ideology

The idea behind the festival is to give some local bands the opportunity to play at such an event as well as booking well known acts. It will be a mixture of styles from Rock to Folk and Blues plus whatever else they can find. They'll be a main stage, plus acts performing in a marquee between main stage acts.

Numbers

Numbers will be limited to 5,000 to provide a fun but chilled atmosphere in a cosy, relaxed venue for all age groups.

Pets

Also please remember that the festival does not allow any pets anywhere on site so please do not bring them with the intention of leaving them in your car.

Park and carry

This year the festival has a policy of park and carry but there will be a service by some local Scouts who will, for a small donation, wheelbarrow your gear for you from the car park to the camping area (main camping area only).

Camping

Camping will be separate from parking, and will include a family camping area, quiet camping (with some space for campervans - sold out), and the usual festival rules will apply (no pets, campfires, fireworks etc). There are facilities available such as plentiful toilets, water, first aid etc.

Timings

Friday - access to campsite from 1 pm, access to arena from 4 pm.
Saturday - access to arena from 9am.
Music Friday from 5 pm ish until midnight. Music Saturday from midday to midnight ish.

Alcohol

There is a bar in the arena, very reasonably priced and so festival goers are unable to bring their own alcohol or food into the main arena area. You are allowed to bring your own to the campsite or campervan field.

Good causes

The festival is run by a not for profit organisation supporting The Devon Air Ambulance and WaterAid.

More information will be here when available.
