City Showcase is a London based three day music event which showcases emerging talent in gigs that are all FREE and not for profit. This year will see the event bought forward to the new dates of Thursday 7th until Saturday 9th May.

Each day there are gigs in stores and café in Carnaby Street and Regent Street.

The line-up is as follows:
Thursday:
Ettin, Bruce Conlon, Frank Hamilton, Dead Pixels, Dan Raza, Andy Stedman, KOF, Ashley Hicklin, The Tunics, Matt Adey, The Gala Band, Openroom, Redsharkinvegas, Jon Hillcock, Sky Larkin, White Belt Yellow Tag, The Screaming Lights, Arthur, Max Tuohy, The Seas, Joe Rose, Emily Baker, Panjabi Hit Squad, and Plastic Toys.

Friday:

Saturday:

The above nights will be hosted by Xfm's DJs Jon Hillcock and Ian Camfield and the electro show while all the events and acts chosen will receive around the clock coverage across the station.

This year the City Showcase Rock Night on May 8th will also be sponsored and supported by Rock Sound magazine who has also been involved in the selection process for the evening.

This event provides public exposure, advice and mentoring, plus contacts that aspiring talent needs, and culminates in a series of live events in venues in London's West End (giving musicians the opportunity to perform in West End stores and legendary venues such as the Borderline).

The event will also host a series of workshops and seminars at The Apple Store, Regent Street, bringing together aspiring talent along with the most influential figures in what is a much reshaped and refreshingly vibrant new music industry.

City Showcase covers all types of music from classical to pop, from rock to urban. And all types of performer’s from bands to singer songwriters, from solo artists to DJ's.
