The Cockermouth Rock Festival or 'CockRock', returns in 2010 as a three day event, with the dates confirmed as Friday 16th until Sunday 18th July at Wellington Farm, Cockermouth.
Line-up
The headliners have been announced as Dodgy, Sham 69, Kid British, and The King Blues, with Detroit Social Club, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Chris Helme, Underground Heroes, Johnny foreigner, Jilted Generation, Sound Of Guns, The Brute Chorus, Falling Red, Micky P Kerr, The Ray Summers Band, North Atlantic Oscillation, and more confirmed. Early bird tickets are no longer on sale. tickets are now priced at £40 for an adult weekend pass, and £20 for children aged 14 and under. To buy tickets, click here.A new and improved dance tent hosted by Mighty Boof Promotions has also been added this year and also back by popular demand for CockRock is the SiZe Sessions at CockRock featuring breakthrough artists. The facilities have had a makeover for CockRock 2010 with a new quieter camping field introduced which aimed at families, also the addition of workshops such as guitar workshops, circus workshops and even Jim Rock's keep fit morning club! Expect also a professional BBQ on site, plus many stalls, food outlets, extra bars as well as many events for all the family. These include a Bouncy Castle, Rodeo Bull, Gladiator Duals and more.
Camping
Camping is usually free and held in the neighbouring field.Charities
The festival is a non profit event set up to help raise money for two local causes, the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue and The Pride of Cumbria, as well as to encourage and promote local bands and musicians.More information will be here when available.
