Copmanthorpe Carnival 2012

Copmanthorpe Carnival offers a day of live music and entertainment for all the family at Copmanthorpe Recreation Centre, in York on Saturday 7th July 2012 from noon until 6pm.

Line-up

One Night Only, Elliot Minor, The Entertainment, The Likely Lads, Davey Richmond's Black Crows, The King's Parade, Ali & The Beachcombers, and Disctracted.

Plus entertainment from York Breakdance, York College Dance Departement, The Dance Factory, York University Cheerleaders, and Limelight Dance Group.

Tickets

Entry to the event is priced at £3 in advance £6 on the gate under 14s can enter free. Tickets for Copmanthorpe Carnival can be purchased from the follow locations in the village: The Annexe, The Co-op, The Post Office, The Rec, The Royal Oak, and The Fox.

On site attractions include fairground rides, birds of prey, reptile roadshow, donkey rides, bucking bronco, giant slides, water walker, bungee run, bungee trampolines, climbing wall, giant assault course, North Yorkshire sports Olympic Games sports tasters, and more.

The Copmanthorpe Carnival 2012 also provides refreshment areas including the 'Fairtrade' Tea Tent working towards gaining 'Fairtrade' status for the area, by providing lovely Fairtrade Tea's, Coffee’s & Cakes at the event, a local produce BBQ and Spiffing Pimms tent, Strawberry & Cream fair, Real Lemonade & Milkshake bars and licensed indoor and outdoor bars, plus shopping stalls, with everything from vintage clothes to unique homewares.

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
