Copmanthorpe Carnival offers a day of live music and entertainment for all the family at Copmanthorpe Recreation Centre, in York on Saturday 28th June 2014, one week earlier than usual to accommodate the Tour de France.

Line-up

The first acts confirmed are The Supermodels, Beth McCarthy (from ‘The Voice’), Ice Hole, Adam Dawson, My Forever, Cop Owt, and Hit Creek .

Tickets are priced at £4 in advance £6 on the gate under 14s free.

Tickets are on sale from the following locations in the village: The Annexe, The Co-op, The Post Office, The Rec & The Royal Oak.

On site

On site attractions include fairground rides, birds of prey, reptile roadshow, donkey rides, bucking bronco, giant slides, water walker, bungee run, bungee trampolines, giant assault course.

The Copmanthorpe Carnival 2014 also provides refreshment areas including the 'Fairtrade' Tea Tent working towards gaining 'Fairtrade' status for the area, by providing lovely Fairtrade Tea's, Coffee's & Cakes at the event, a local produce BBQ and Spiffing Pimms tent, Strawberry & Cream fair, Real Lemonade & Milkshake bars and licensed indoor and outdoor bars, plus shopping stalls, with everything from vintage clothes to unique homewares.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
