10th Anniversary

2013 is the tenth Cornbury Festival and will have favourite acts from the past decade sharing the stage with specially requested newcomers in a Cornbury Greatest Hits-inspired line-up. Cornbury Festival aims to be an eccentric musical carnival - a relaxed country fair where music-lovers share pint pots and glasses of champagne with superstars and morris dancers, toffs and rockers, crooners, farmers, and fashionistas.

Festival-goers can also enjoy alternative entertainment in the Absolute Radio Comedy Tent, stretch their brains in the QI Emporium, dance in the Disco Shed or just relax in the therapy and massage zone.

The first Festival of Words will run alongside the Cornbury Music Festival with a line-up that includes Alan Davies, Julie Burchill, Robert Llewllyn, Katy Brand, John Lloyd, with a special QI Music Quiz happening as part of the Festival. There is also the return of QI's Ask the Elves service, a chance for festival goers to try to outwit the cerebral QI boffins with unanswerable conundrums, a big hit with last year's audience.

The Absolute Radio Comedy Emporium this year features stand-up including Lee Nelson, Ed Gamble and Vikki Stone.

The Campfire Sessions

Offering an opportunity to perform at Cornbury while supporting Save The Children with six shortlisted acts getting the chance to play the Campsite Stage on the Thursday night of Cornbury. The lucky six acts will also receive two weekend with camping tickets per band member. Performing in front of a panel of judges the winner will be chosen on the night and will then make a further appearance at the festival over the weekend. To enter the competition follow the link (click here), enter your details and upload a video of you or your band performing one song. Entry closes 16th June. Good luck.

As always, Cornbury 2013 will be offering a complete programme of workshops in the children's area, a fairground, posh camping options, and more.
