The Divinemoon Festival of Contemplative and Devotional Music takes place from the on Saturday 16th of August and Sunday 17th of August. The festival is held on the isle of Portland, near Weymouth in South Dorset.
Featured artists at the festival include the headliners Alpha and Omega (dub & reggae) and joining them will be Paul Fox (of Shades of Black), Rootsman Rak, Jonah Dan (the most recorded bingi drummer outside of Jamaica), Goma with their programme of authentic Indian devotional chants of ecstasy, Pinky with his latest electro acoustic sound installation Hradesin, and Jason Kalidas tabla sound journey.
As well as roots'n'dub and cutting edge conscious music, there is chant, yoga, workshops, movement, meditation, dance, good vegetarian food, rhythms, and instrumentals.
Performances will be held at St George's Centre, All Saints Church, and other venues in Easton, Portland. With over 15 different acts sharing the stage over 2 days.
Tickets are on sale priced at £27 for the whole weekend or £15 for either the Saturday or the Sunday. Tickets are £15 and £8 for children and under 6s can attend for free. Individual concert tickets available on the door at different events.
