The 16th Dublin Fringe Festival (Absolut Fringe) takes place from the Saturday 11th to Thursday 16th September offering theatre, dance, music, visual art, live art and street performance from Ireland and around the globe at various venues in the city of Dublin, Ireland.

Line-up

The first acts to be announced as part of 'Fringe First' is a weekend of Icelandic music, headlined by Amiina, Ólöf Arnalds & FM Belfast. Plus Pocket Jazz Festival, Camille O'Sullivan, Four on the Fringe of Folk, The Vertical Rhythm Club, RadioActive, Roger Doyle/General Practice's Room In The Tower, You can call me Frances, Dead Cat Bounce, Making Strange, Neil Watkins and Pav the fiddler, The Two Ruths, Reverend Deadeye (No man Gospel band), Apollonian Tribal Dance, Adela and the Meanits, The Rubberbandits, Pablo Held Trio, Trilogue, Justin Carroll, Miranda Sings, and Taylor Mac.

Expect a huge comedy programme, Irish and international music acts, street (and water) spectacles, theatre, visual and performance art.

Trilogy by Nic Green, will be a celebration of contemporary women and feminism. Part of the show involves the participation of up to 50 women who will dance on stage naked with Nic in a euphoric empowerment of the female body.

For 16 days and nights the Fringe Festival will offer an around-the-clock season of events, live gigs, performances, actions and happenings. With up to 100 shows spanning theatre, dance, music, live and visual arts in 40 venues across Dublin.

Expect the return of Macnas, an escaped Zoo, men in Pajamas, nude women dancing, vintage dresses, Icelandic musicians, skinny lattes, skinny jeans and skinny bitches, a pop up comedy dance troupe, a city on water and something Delicious.
