Belhaven Best Dunbar Traditional Music Festival takes place annually in the seaside town of Dunbar, Mid-Lothian, in Scotland, this year from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th September 2011.

Continuing in the same vein as previous years, the festival presents a mixture of Scottish, Folk, Appalachian, Jazz, and Blues music, and promises participation from every outlet plus strolling musicians and a ceilidh or two.

Line-up

Friday: Hughes & McQuade, Slainte M'hath, The Mighty Fine Pair, Rosie Nimmo, Sandy Legget and the Herber Mooths, The Bevvy sisters, Blue Belly, Stevie Lawrence and Fiona Cuthill, Robin Hamilton and Friends.

Saturday: Children's workshop, Diplomats Of Jazz, Guy Heath, Ewan Galloway and Friends, Christine Bovill, Acoustic Folk Ceilidh with Neil Fincham & Hamilton and Byers, Dunbar RBL Pipe Band, The Poddies, Fish Supper Ceildih with Sandy Legget and the Carseloch Ceilidh Band, Lynn Tocker and Friends, The mighty Fine Pair, Blue Belly, Hughes & McQuade, Hamilton and Byers, Steve Lawrence and Fiona Cuthill, Blues Inc., Delta Folk, Rosie Nimmo.

Sunday: Afternoon Shindig with with Sandy Legget and the Carseloch Ceilidh Band, Alex Hodgeson, Acoustic session and open mic hosted by Neil Fincham with giests, Family Concert with Yard Of Ale, Slainte M'hath, Guy Heath, Alan Pratt and The Blues Council, Christine Bovill, The Final Fling with the Accordion and Fiddle Club.

Plus various fringe events at hostelries with wandering musicians.

Tickets

All events are free except the fish supper is priced at £8/£6 and includes food.

The festival showcases local and young talent alongside well established and international artists.

The festival offers song, music, pipes and drums, children's workshop, informal tunes and sessions, concerts, ceilidhs, and open air performances.

Most of the events take place in various hotels, bars and halls in and around Dunbar. Many of these venues sell food and drink.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in Dunbar which are all supporting the festival.
