Paying tribute to Malcolm McLaren
This year Endorse It In Dorset pays tribute to the Godfather of Punk Malcolm McLaren. Often described as the inventor of punk, Malcolm was certainly instrumental in shaping the punk movement from his shop on The Kings Road. From his escapades there, he went on to influence many styles from New Wave, Hip Hop and even a Carry-On title track!!The Endorse It In Dorset Festival was built on the same energy and DIY style that encapsulates the very spirit of what Malcolm McLaren achieved over his career, so this year the festival will have an official Punk Dresscode on Saturday. From Vivienne Westwood to PVA-enhanced Mohawks, all style of punks will be embraced. Bands, tunes and general shenanigans are planned for the day. The festival may even squeeze in a Kings Road style stall or two...
Entertainment
The festivals also has a great kids area, late night entertainment, comedy, food, beers and ciders, stalls, family camping area, healing area, chill-out area, in Bus-Bar with punk DJ & live bands, woods for exploring, a return of the tractor rides, and more. The Charity in Honour of Joe Strummer of The Clash - Strummerville, will also be back after the success of last year with their campfire sessions showcasing new talent around the fire.
Pixie Chill will be making a welcome return to run the hidden area of light refreshment, chilled vibes and serene garden over the weekend.
Scrumpy Sunday is back following the success of last year featuring fun and games and a full afternoon's entertainment - the scrumpy will be a'flowin'.
