The family-friendly Faringdon Festival takes place at Market Place and various venues in Faringdon, Oxfordshire and happens over nine days from Saturday 2nd until Sunday 10th July 2011 and offers something for all ages and tastes.

Saturday 9th July: Pete McCray; 'Talent Oxford' ft. Nina Jade, 3LD, Ellie Brown and Kizzy Horgan; Truly Ford-Ghatauray; Kieran Marsden; Jamie Howitt-Bowdidge; Bianca Polizzi; The Dacoits; Adam Lipinski; The Blowbacks; Lucky Generals; N Giles; Kiff; Quadrophobe; Dr. Hexter's Healers.

Typographic Circle posters and magazines at BGi UK; Paintings at the Piano Gallery; Painting and Sculpture at the Old Town Hall; Photography at the Portwell Angel.
A celebration of the King James Bible at the United Church; Historical and Archeological artefacts at Faringdon Library.
Storytelling at the Friends' Meeting House; Back Room Poets at The Swan; Theatre Laboratory at Blessed Hugh Church Hall; 'Bridging the Gap' singing and film at Faringdon Junior School.

All events are FREE but donations towards funding the Festival will be welcomed.

The main FREE music event is staged in Faringdon Market Place, and takes place over the weekend Friday 8 July 6.00pm-11.30pm; Saturday 9 July 10.30am-11.30pm; Sunday 10 July 10.30am-6.00pm.

Other activities will take place around the town centre including Mural Painting; Public Pianos - to play, paint, whatever; Skateboarding; Fun Run; a variety of stalls, food concessions, a 'chill out' area for young teens; radio broadcasts including live streaming via Radio Invasion UK; appearances by The Sealed Knot and The Pink Pigeon Trust. And a raffle with prizes.

Travel and accommodation

During the Festival weekend some roads will be closed. Car parks are located in Gloucester Street and Southampton Street. Buses from Swindon, Oxford and Wantage will stop within a short walk of the town centre. This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
