Fishstock Brixham - CANCELLED 2009

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
The demolition and construction work for the new Fish market means that the site will simply not be suitable for 4,000 plus visitors. The contractors and the harbour authorities cannot give permission under such circumstances.

Fishstock Brixham is a festival that combines music and seafood. The one-day-event held on Saturday September 12th 2009 from 10am to 10pm hopes to raise much-needed funds for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.

The event will have two stages and the music line-up has not yet been confirmed for 2009.

Tickets prices have not been confirmed and are not yet on sale.

The event is timed to coincide with 'National Seafood Fortnight'. There will be recipes of local seafood cooked by expert and celebrity chefs whilst local musicians and artists provide the entertainment.

There will also be local food and drink producers, display stands, information about the marine environment, fishing activity and maritime safety etc.
