Freerotation is an electronic audio-visual festival taking place in and around Baskerville Hall, on the Welsh/English Border, known from the Sherlock Holmes story 'The Hound of the Baskervilles'. The festival takes place from Friday 14th until Sunday 16th August 2009.
Three sound systems inside Baskerville Hall itself, cutting edge visuals, deep, funky, electronic music from techno, deephouse and minimal, to dubstep, nu-jazz and lounge and everything in between. Music will be happening all day Sunday.
The confirmed line-up so far includes DJ Bone, Marcel Dettmann, 2562, A Made Up Sound, Shackleton, Efdemin, Rndm, Russ Gabriel, Mixmaster Morris, Move D, SoulPhiction, Peverelist, Kris Wadsworth, Mark Henning, Ramadanman, Pangaea , Portable AKA Bodycode, Wbeeza, Trimsound (Live), Sven Weisemann , Pigon (Live), Jackmate, Sonja Moonear, Dandy Jack AKA Junction SM, Roberto Q Ingram, Narcossist, Lakuti, Ben Ufo, Tom Ellis, Leif, Tom Demac, Grimes Adhesif, Jakooky, Joe Ellis, Jitterbug, Steevio and Suzybee (Mindtours), Sam Watson, Duckett, The Soulstatejazz Band, Paizan, Chill, Suade, Freund der Familie, DJ Mitch (Deepindub, Earthdoctor, Reflektor, DJ Den, Paddy Freeform (Universal Vibes), Net Audio (London/Berlin) Showcase feat. J-lab, Cotumo, Chris Box, Alex Fisher, Dr. Nojoke, and Sammy String. With more still to be confirmed.
Visuals will be provided by Mash, Suzybee, VJ Vesta, Micarus, Fata Morgana, Digital Doughnut, Widelode, Zee, and Glen Urquhart, plus more.
Accomodation: Free camping is available , as well as a range of rooms in the hall itself to suit every pocket, ranging from basic multiple bunk rooms, through to executive doubles.
Festival goers can walk in the extensive grounds, swim in the indoor pool, take a sauna, eat at a choice of 2 restaurant/cafes including a vegetarian cafe, browse in the market/record fair, or take in an underground film in the cinema.
Tickets are priced at £65 including free camping (rooms also available). There will be no tickets on sale at the festival. Freerotation tickets must be bought in advance. Tickets are available by clicking here.
