Garway Folk Weekend 2010

Garway Folk Weekend takes place from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th June 2010 in Garway, in the very south west corner of rural Herefordshire and only a mile or so from the Welsh border.

Line-up

Guests include Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer, Tom and Barbara Brown, Hoover the Dog, Dave Totterdell and Hilary Pavey, Dave Bordewey and Dave Young, Bordewey Young Band, with Lynne Barker calling, Young musicians meet with Andy Davies, Tunewrights including Cohen, Skirrid, Them Boonies, Ceilyx, Deadmoney Duo, Kevin Sheils, Bob Axford , and Cathead Shantymen. Plus The Singing Tree, Garway Village Band and local singers and musicians. Dance sides include Leominster Morris, Foxwhelp Morris, Shropshire Bedlams Border Morris, and Martha Rhoden's Tuppenny Dish.

Floor singers will be welcome at the folk club and pub sessions. Please note that no percussion may be used in the pub, marquee or hall due to a local restriction.

Tickets

Early bird weekend tickets are priced at £20 (full price £25) and £10 (full price £12.50) for those aged 12 to 17 years, under 12s can attend for free. those aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. To download a booking form (as a PDF) click here.

Camping

Camping is available for weekend ticket holders priced at £10 per person, half price for accompanied under 18s and free for under 12s. Camping is also half-price for stewards and booked dance teams (etc). This is for the whole weekend (up to 3 nights, depending how long you want to stay).

Entertainment

Garway Folk Weekend offers guests, song sessions, music sessions, Shanty session, Ceilidh, concerts, showcases, music and song workshops, Morris teams, a young musicians meet, storytelling, rural crafts, a village market, guided walk, and camping.
