"Okay I fancy a laugh, we'll stay around to see them do Gaybar, then we'll go" ...
Famous last words as Electric Six put on possible the bounciest set of the weekend ... none of your moody soul-searching acoustic rock here as Dick Valentine and his Electric Six crew leaped energetically around the stage in the biggest display of cheese since ... erm, well, a very cheesy thing.
Future album hits Shes white, Fire and naked pictures off your mother add to the already established High voltage and of course GAYBAR to further the excitement of the crowd to add to the total randomness of the set they also burst out with a vary dubious tribute to white rappers with "MC Sucker DJ" before finishing with Queen's classic Radio Ga Ga.
On stage the band where full of energy, all looking like an advert for classic air guitar moments, with solos being played from behind the head and bizarrely Dick Valentine performing 30 push-ups before launching into the band's debut hit High Voltage ... although the foot work was not always this slick as he landed on his arse performing a drop kick during another moment of madness.
Overall Electric Six rocked a good sunny day FUN set that would not have looked out of place on the Pyramid Stage.
