Gower Folk Festival takes place at Parkmill, in the Gower Peninsula, Wales from Friday 12th June until Sunday 14th June 2009.
The line-up includes Beoga, Martin Simpson & Andy Cutting, Ffynnon, Boldwood, Chris Newman & Maire Ní Chathasaigh, Mike & Ali Vass, Wistman's Wood, Calan, Mawkin:Causley, Colston Rose, The Carrivick Sisters, Steve Turner, The Foundlings, Avant Trois, Clio Trio, Keith Donnelly, Celtic Sound, Pat Smith & Ned Clamp, and Kerry Fletcher.
Early bird weekend adult tickets are on sale priced at £35, OAP/concession tickets are priced at £30, and tickets for children aged 5-18 years old are priced at £15. After 15th May the full price of tickets will be £45 for an adult weekend, OAP/concession tickets are priced at £40, and tickets for children aged 5-18 years old are priced at £20. Weekend camping is priced at £20 for one in a tent, or £30 for two in a tent. A family tent (2 adults + 2 children) £36. A campervan is £30, or £40 with electric hook up. Festival camping is at Three Cliffs Bay Caravan & Camping site, quarter of a mile from the venue by road.
The festival bar is open all weekend and is hosted by The King's Head of Llangennith, serving real ales. The Heritage Centre tea rooms provide soft drinks, tea, coffee, snacks and a variety of hot meals. There is also a general stores in the village, open 7 days a week. But please note that the nearest cash-point machine is several miles away, as is the nearest garage. The nearest pharmacy is a mile away in Pennard.
The Gower Heritage Centre is home to a variety of traditional crafts, and regular demonstrations of woodturning and weaving. Activities such as puppet-making, pottery and craft workshops are available for children (at an additional cost). Kids will also have fun seeing ducks, chickens and sheep and there are also play areas.
