Now in its 5th year Hachfest is a 3-day event, taking place from Friday 31st July until Sunday 2nd August, at Mutimer's Meadow in Hacheston, Suffolk. The festival aims to provide a great weekend of entertainment for all the family, showcasing local live music over two stages, and raising money for local charities. Last year the festival raised over £8,500.
Musically each night of the festival has a theme.
Foot Stompin' Friday: An evening of feel good folk & rock music headlined by Adrian Edmondson and The Bad Shepherds, support comes from Waxies' Dargle, Murphys Lore, Brewer St Kazoo Band, and The Bounty Hounds.
Saturday is Live, Local & Loud: A hard hitting day of rock and pop acts of all ages, playing originals and covers; headlined by local 60's sensations The Wild Oats, and Counterfeit Quo, with other acts including Dfunkt, Back Porch Band, Mohawk, Anything But Ordinary, Walkway, Underline The Sky, Umbrella Assassins, Ten2two, Jade, The Empires, Ten City Nation, Cool Remedy, Howl Project, Dark Energy, I Know Jack, and Suffolk Soundwaves.
Alternative Sunday: an eclectic mix of music and dance featuring bands and solo performers from a wide range of musical genres including Samboomba, The Wah, Mother Black Cap, Skin The Fish, Judi Willson, The Marvelous, Cottonhouse, Something Happened, Caomhe, Caution Horses, and Friendly Misunderstood.
An adult weekend ticket is priced at £20, Friday or Saturday day tickets are priced at £10, and Sunday day tickets £5, children under 12 can attend for free. To buy tickets, click here.
The festival is family friendly offering plenty of activities off-stage for all the family, including this year a circus skills workshop, face painting & many other stalls. Food & refreshments are provided on site all weekend.
There are various accommodation option in the Hacheston area.
Proceeds go to local charities. This year the event is supporting charities including St Elizabeth Hospice, East Anglian Air Ambulance, the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust and Heathside Special School Mini-Bus Fund.
