In The City 2008 will take place from Saturday 4th until Tuesday 7th October, at The Midland hotel in Manchester and at venues across the city and features new music from around the world.

Saturday 4th October - official In The City opening party hosted by The Warehouse Project and Eat Your Own Ears with performances and DJ sets from: Reverend And The Makers, Tricky, Late Of The Pier, The Whip, Simian Mobile Disco [DJ], and Four Tet [DJ]. Sunday 5th October - John Power (Cast & The La's), The Sticks, Downtown Rag, Little Volcanoes, Mista Rizzo, Buck Brothers, Rise and Fall of Rockets, Solarson, The Vortex, Gideon Conn, and Trio Valore - Moho Live, from 4pm. Tickets £6. Click here to buy.

There will also be a special BBC gig at Deaf Institute on Tuesday 7th October, featuring: Twisted wheel, Tubelord, Little Comets, and It's A Buffalo. The gig will be free entry, with priority given to ITC wristband wearers.

A limited run of ITC wristbands were available for £26 which allow free entry to all the Official ITC showcases, they have no sold out.

The showcases which take place alongside the In The City Unsigned programme will present both new and established artists across the city. The names announced so far for holding showcases include: NME, The Warehouse Project, Heavenly Recordings, Channel M, Drowned in Sound, Popjustice, Fierce Panda, Clash magazine, Twisted Nerve, Fear & Records, Rock Sound magazine, thrashhits.com, and Piccadilly Records.

The price for tickets is £495. Delegate passes will be available to be collected from 2pm, 05/10/08 from ITC HQ at The Midland Hotel, Manchester.
