Into The Valley 2009

Into The Valley is a free festival which takes place from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th May 2009 with individual events will take place all over the small market town of Clitheroe in the Ribble Valley in Lancashire.

This year's line-up is as follows:
Friday Evening Keystreet: Michaela, Maddison, and George Borowski & the Fabulous Wonderfuls.
Saturday Bandstand (4-8pm): A Foreign Town, Adverse Camber, Anonymous, The Bracket, and The Harks. Saturday Evening New Inn: Darren Poyzer & Fluff, Holly Ann, Natasha Lea Jones, Claudettte Tillier, Colin Wakeford, and Midlife Dementia Show.
Keystreet – Saturday Afternoon / Evening: Midlife Dementia Show, Cuthrol, Kojos, Phil Cuddy, Mark Duckworth, James Todd, Rikki Doolan, and Kev Fox.
Swan & Royal – Saturday Evening: Syd Bozko, Bushart, Karma, Jealous, Rising 44, and Spencer.
Keystreet – Sunday Afternoon: Andy Whitaker / Andy Clegg, Hell & the Taid, No*Tokyo, Kizilok, Dave Hulston, The Magnetars (USA), Compared to What, Valium Skies, six10repeater, and Wasted Angels.
Swan & Royal – Sunday Evening Comedy night: Guy Thomas, Dominic Collins, Ruth E Cockburn, and Letty Flynn.

The festival is a three day music, comedy, and poetry event running in tandem with Clitheroe Festival 2009. The music programme will include late afternoon and early evening bandstand concerts, music venue events and street busking.

The music is an eclectic mix of all types. Traditional folk, Acoustic pop, Americana, Rock, Blues, Indie, Shoegaze, Soul, hip-hop. There will be a range of international artists, established artists, unsigned artists and a chance for all local bands to be a part of a major music event.

It is also proposed to run music, technical, comedy and poetry workshops.

Venues hosting the event include Clitheroe Castle Bandstand, Keystreet, New Inn, Swan & Royal, and Clitheroe Market.
