Lammas Festival 2005

With many free events including Morris Dancing on Saturday morning with Hunters Moon outside the Wish Tower café plus guest morris sides. At lunchtime, there'll be a Grand Parade to the pier for more dancing, and back again.

In the afternoon, from 2.30pm local bands will play live on the Wish Tower. Performers include: The Henge (either in the afternoon or at evening gigs); The Soul Seekers; Woodsmith, and Cadence. At 5.30pm a ritual celebration of Lammas will take place on the beach opposite the Lifeboat Museum. There will also be a beer tent and craft stalls open all day on the Wish Tower Slopes as well as storytelling, puppetry and children's activities. The evening concert with McDermotts will take place at 7.30pm in the Winter Garden.

On Sunday, there'll be more Morris Dancing at the Wish Tower Café from noon onwards with an another afternoon concert on the Wish Tower Slopes(bands to be confirmed) and an Evening Concert with local folk band, Rattlebone (details to be announced).
