The 31st Lichfield Festival offers a range of music and other arts events this year from Thursday 5th to Sunday 15th July 2012 at Lichfield cathedral and the Garrick Theatre, Lichfield, Staffordshire.

Some other 2012 Lichfield Festival highlights include: Reduced Shakespeare Company performing The World Of Sport, in honour of the Olympics. Full Aspire education programme including an evening of celebratory anthems composed by schools with assistance from composer Kate Pearson. A new work by composer Jonathan Dove, sung by the Lichfield Festival Chorus Young Artist Series, featuring rising classical music stars from around the country, including cellist Philip Higham.

Tickets

Ticket prices vary depending on event, some are free. Ticket prices have not yet been announced.

The majority of the concerts and other events are expected to take place in Lichfield's medieval cathedral and in the Lichfield Garrick Theatre. There will be other performances in Lichfield district and around Staffordshire. In total over 70 music, literary, film, theatre and associated art events will happen at a variety of venues, as well as a programme of education activities for school groups and individuals. There will also be two large-scale, free events.
