More info
The aim of the festival is to try to recreate a Greenfield vibe in an urban environment with people able to wander in and out of venues, like at similar events such as Sheffield Tramlines and Live at Leeds.
Owing to the current economic climate and the demise of the public house trade from excessive taxes and changes in the laws, organisers are attempting to keep the costs of the festival to music fans and venues to an absolute minimum, and the event is organised by music loving volunteers.
There will also be a central merchandise area where bands can sell their CDs, T-shirts etc. All the money from these sales will belong to the band selling the goods.
The venues are all within easy walking distance of each other; the majority of them are clustered around the Market Hill and Peel Square area, with others only a short walking distance away.
Accommodation
This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
