The 'motel'

Festival goers are also given the opportunity to take part in Motel Mozaïque's Sleeping Project which sees remarkable locations within the city converted into a real motel, where guests can enjoy a night's rest plus breakfast. Past locations include a church, tree huts, shop windows, a construction site and for last year, the roof of a national monument. Artist collectives handle breakfast - last year 200 people had a huge breakfast in the middle of Rotterdam's largest shopping street – and appropriate entertainment: a lullaby to send you to sleep or a wake-up call from people in candyfloss balls, ready for you to take a bite from.

This year's Sleeping Project takes place at Rotterdam's concert hall de Doelen for located in the Schouwburgplein – the heart of the festival – guests will be staying on the first floor. Tickets for 2013's Sleeping Project are available to purchase separately from your festival ticket as numbers are strictly limited.

On site

The festival prides itself on its hospitality and throughout the daytime, there are 35 festival guides ready to reveal their favourite spots around Rotterdam.
Motel Mozaïque also showcases new and upcoming movements in different art disciplines, and is a great way to discover Rotterdam.
