The Music and Merriment Festival now in its second year offers 12 hours of musical entertainment, kids club, circus skills workshops, fire juggling, hot air balloon display, local artists, food, an inflatable county pub, and acres of space for kids to play and enjoy, all set in the surroundings of Spetisbury Rings, near Blandford, in Dorset on Saturday 21st August 2010 from noon until midnight.

Line-up

Main Stage: The '0898' band, Pete Christie, Bel Casino, Bliss, Backbeat, Martin Maton, Midlife Crisis.
Hay Bale stage: At this year's festival, there will be no recorded music in between acts on the main stage. Instead this stage will be a mini performance area where anyone can play in the changeovers. Expect extra acoustic performances from the main stage bands, impromptu collaborations and jam sessions, first time performers, and even members of the audience.

Tickets

An adult ticket is priced at £15 Adult, a teen (aged 5-16 years) is priced at £7.50 tickets for the over 65's are priced at £10, with a family ticket priced at £40. To buy tickets click here.

Not for profit

Music and Merriment is designed as a celebration and expression of local musical talent, community involvement and spirit. Everyone who performs at, or works on the festival does so for free, and every penny of profit is donated to support local charities, including The Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
