Taking place from Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th July, from 1-9pm each day, the Diaspora London Music Village is a free open air music festival, set in Hyde Park, London.

The event is the 23rd Music Village since 1983 and presents over 80 top-class performers of African, Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American, Mediterranean and Eastern European origin, all of them drawn from London’s diaspora communities.

Festival Director, Prakash Daswani explains: “This year’s Music Village aims to give tangible expression to the wish among growing numbers of Londoners for the city’s diverse populations to connect more with each other, socially and culturally, and in safe and welcoming public settings. It’s also a great opportunity to enjoy some world class performances with friends and family in a truly beautiful location in the heart of the capital - completely free of charge

Among the artists invited to appear are: Kasai Masai (Congo); Errol Linton Blues Vibe (Jamaica); Fuerza Vallenata (Colombia); Ameer Khan (Pakistan); London Jing Kun Opera (China); Los Desterrados (Sephardic Jewish); Waeil (Egypt); Ricardo Czureja (Poland); Athena Andreadis (Greece); Ethio Traditional Band (Ethiopia); Glissando Steel Orchestra (Trinidad); & Yusuf Mahmoud (Afghanistan).
